    1. Thank you so much Gary. It was a pleasure to write on behalf of everyone. So proud of Russell's award and Dorothy certainly needs to be acknowledged too. DFI will need to be top of the convenor list of course!!
      Catch up soon.

In my short time working as a convenor & principal in a Manaiakalani Programme school I completely tautoko & endorse everything you said. 3. Awesome Raina,
All you guys are very special. Amazing how the Convenor Principals have a similar passion for the underserved in our communities. You are all the most humble people even though you are the most competent educators in the country. Hence, we have to acknowledge the Manaiakalani leadership of which Russell is the key with his strong values and the manner he turns them into action in such a coolheaded way. Having Russell acknowledged in this way is very special and reflects also strongly on Dorothy, Pat and many others including you guys.
You lead by example Raina by doing the DFI. Love being in you company and can't wait to visit your school in August.

  4. Kia ora Raina, what a lovely letter of recommendation and what's more Russell is so humble, telling me that he and Dorothy have learned far more than they have given and emphasising that without Dorothy none of it would have happened.

  5. Thanks Angela, it was wonderful to be able to support and to acknowledge Russell's outstanding leadership. It has also been an opportunity for everyone to acknowledge Dorothy's contribution too. Together their pursuit of quality education for teachers, children and whanau is incredible.
